Modified uturele clerotomie for par plana vitrectomy

Purpoe To decribe a modified technique for performing uturele clerotomie for par plana vitrectomy and to examine it efficacy and afety. Deign Retropective, interventional cae erie. Method elf-ealing clerotomie were created in 35 conecutive cae by oblique penetration of the clera with a 19G MVR blade. Reult All but two (2.9%) of the clerotomie were watertight without uturing at the end of urgery. A conjunctival bleb wa oberved during the firt potoperative week in one cae, but it reolved without intervention. Concluion Contruction of uturele clerotomie by thi technique i impler and more rapid compared with previouly decribed technique. The reulting clerotomie are more reitant to tretching and tearing of the tunnelʹ roof, they rarely need uturing, and inertion of intrument i facilitated.
