Photodynamic therapy and intravitreal triamcinolone for a ubretinal neovacularization in bilateral idiopathic juxtafoveal telangiectai

Purpoe To report combined treatment of photodynamic therapy (PDT) with verteporfin and intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide injection for ubfoveal neovacularization econdary to bilateral idiopathic juxtafoveal telangiectai. Deign Interventional cae report. Method A patient with a ubfoveal neovacularization econdary to bilateral idiopathic juxtafoveal telangiectai wa treated with PDT plu an intravitreal injection of 4 mg of triamcinolone acetonide. Reult Leakage in the late-phae of fluorecein angiography reolved with attenuation of telangiectatic veel and improvement in viual acuity from 20/200 to 20/50. At 9 month pot-treatment, recurrent leakage wa treated with repeat PDT and intravitreal triamcinolone. One year after initial preentation, viual acuity wa 20/60 with no leakage on fluorecein. Concluion Combined treatment with PDT and intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide reulted in regreion of a ubfoveal neovacular membrane and improvement in viual acuity during the coure of follow-up.
