Abstract :
Purpoe
To decribe the clinical preentation and reult of three-dimenional video-oculography of a patient with idiopathic microaccadic opoclonu.
Deign
Obervational cae report.
Method
Neuro-ophthalmologic examination and video-oculographic recording of horizontal, vertical, and torional eye movement.
Reult
A 67-year-old man with intermittent blurred viion and ocillopia, which perited with monocular occluion, over a five year period wa found to have high frequency, mall amplitude back-to-back multivectorial accadic movement which were viible with lit lamp biomicrocopy and direct ophthalmocopy. Video-oculography howed a 20 Hz, 0.2 to 1 degree pattern of horizontal, vertical, and torional microaccade. Thi microaccadic diorder ha perited for five year with no etiology.
Concluion
Microaccadic opoclonu i an idiopathic diorder that preent with ocillopia and intermittent blurred viion. The diagnoi can be confirmed with three-dimenional eye movement recording
