Abdominal cramp a an advere effect of travoprot

Purpoe To decribe the advere effect of abdominal cramp caued by travoprot ophthalmic olution in a glaucoma patient. Deign Cae report. Method A 34-year-old woman reported abdominal cramp on topical application of travoprot ophthalmic olution. atifactory dechallenge and rechallenge procedure were performed. Reult Abdominal cramp occurred approximately 30 minute after topical application of travoprot on 3 conecutive day. No abdominal cramp developed after ubtitution of travoprot with latanoprot or normal aline (in the Travatan bottle). Abdominal cramp recurred on rechallenging with travoprot, either in the original Travatan bottle, a latanoprot bottle, or in a Recula bottle. Concluion Flu-like ymptom (abdominal cramp, malaie and URI) were reported in 4% of patient participating in clinical trial of travoprot but eldom reported potmarketing. Baed on the finding of dechallenge and rechallenge procedure, abdominal cramp hould be conidered a certain advere effect of travoprot according to the WHO claification.
