Method patient population: Forty-even conecutive patient (47 eye) with iri melanocytoma. intervention procedure: Data regarding patient and tumor feature were analyzed for their impact on the main outcome meaure uing univariate and multivariate regreion model. Kaplan-Meier etimate were ued to analyze the main outcome a a function of time. main outcome meaure: Increaed intraocular preure (IOP), tumor eeding, and tumor growth. Reult Aociated finding at initial preentation included iri tromal eed in 20 patient (43%), and anterior chamber angle eed in 12 (26%). Intrinic vacularization and ector cataract were not een in any eye. The management at preentation included obervation in 39 patient (83%), tumor removal by ector iridectomy/iridocyclectomy in 7 (15%), and enucleation for blind painful eye with econdary increaed IOP in 1 (2%). The diagnoi wa confirmed by hitopathologic examination in 11 patient (23%). The mean follow-up wa 58 month. Uing Kaplan-Meier etimate, clinical evidence of growth wa oberved in 23% at 5 year, 48% at 10 year, and 74% at 15 year. New tumor eed developed in 34% at 5 year, 63% at 10 year, and 75% at 15 year. Increaed IOP wa oberved in 11% at 5 year, 11% at 10 year, and 55% at 15 year. Concluion Iri melanocytoma repreented only 3% of all iri nevi. Related iri tromal and anterior chamber angle eed were common, and econdary glaucoma occurred in 11% at 5 year. Growth wa oberved in 23% at 5 year but no malignant tranformation wa found.
