Bilateral uveiti in a patient with autoimmune lymphoproliferative yndrome

Purpoe We report a cae of autoimmune lymphoproliferative yndrome (ALP) preenting with bilateral uveiti. Deign Obervational cae report. Method Review of cae record, erum and aqueou IL-10 and IL-6 cytokine reult, and immunouppreive treatment of a patient with a mutation in the gene encoding Fa. Reult Control of the intermediate uveiti required utained doe of topical and periocular corticoteroid a well a ytemic cycloporine. The erum IL-10 level wa elevated, a commonly een in ALP, but the aqueou IL-10 wa not. Concluion Depite a Th2 immune predominance in ALP, uveiti, a Th1-mediated dieae, may till manifet in thee patient. The pathogenei of uveiti in ALP may differ from that of the ytemic dieae overall. Long-term follow-up i required for patient with uveiti aociated with ALP.
