Abstract :
Purpoe
Anterior chamber involvement i unuual in patient with acute lymphoblatic leukemia (ALL) and ha never been decribed in the etting of Ph+ (Philadelphia chromoome-poitive) ALL. Moreover, there have been no report of thi complication a a primary relape in a patient treated with imatinib.
Deign
Interventional cae report.
Method
A 55-year-old woman with Ph+ ALL in complete remiion with imatinib and preenting unilateral anterior uveiti at initial examination wa clinically evaluated. Hematologic and ocular tudie were performed: blood film, bone marrow mear, and anterior chamber paracentei with aqueou fluid cytology.
Reult
Although there wa no evidence of leukemia in the blood or bone marrow ample, aqueou fluid cytology identified Ph+ poitive lymphoblatic leukemic cell.
Concluion
The patient had developed anterior chamber infiltration without hematological relape while treated with imatinib. In our opinion, paracentei hould be performed without delay when uveiti develop in ALL, regardle of ytemic relape.
