Preliminary Efficacy and afety of Zero Diopter Len Implantation in Highly Myopic Eye

Purpoe To report the preliminary efficacy and afety of zero diopter (D) intraocular len implantation in highly myopic eye. Deign Retropective urgical cae erie. Method Three highly myopic eye with axial length greater than 30 mm were implanted with zero D Alcon model MA60MA 3-piece acrylic poterior chamber lene at the time of cataract urgery. Reult Uncorrected viual acuity improved from counting finger to 20/20− and 20/40− in two eye. Bet-corrected viual acuity improved from 20/80 and 20/60+ to 20/20− in the ame eye. A third eye wa at counting finger before and after urgery, becaue of a taphyloma. The range of preoperative, intended potoperative, and achieved potoperative pherical equivalent refractive error wa −15.1 to −25.0 diopter, −0.20 to −1.44 diopter, and +0.13 to +0.50 diopter repectively. Concluion All eye experienced mild hyperopic refractive error after urgery. No retinal detachment occurred during the follow-up interval.
