elective Laer Trabeculoplaty (LT) Complicated by Intraocular Preure Elevation in Eye With Heavily Pigmented Trabecular Mehwork

Purpoe To report and ae the complication of intraocular preure (IOP) elevation after elective laer trabeculoplaty (LT) in patient with heavily pigmented trabecular mehwork. Deign Noncomparative, obervational cae erie. Method Retropective analyi of the medical file of four glaucoma patient with heavily pigmented trabecular mehwork, who preented with IOP elevation after LT. Reult All four glaucoma patient preented with pot-LT IOP elevation. Three had feature of pigmentary diperion yndrome, and the fourth had a heavily pigmented trabecular mehwork. Two patient had previou argon laer trabeculoplaty (ALT) in the ame eye in which LT wa performed, and one had a previou ocular trauma. Eventually, three of the patient required urgical trabeculectomy. Concluion Thi cae erie ugget that pot-LT IOP elevation can be a eriou advere event in ome glaucomatou patient. It i recommended by the author that patient with a deeply pigmented trabecular mehwork, taking multiple topical medication and having previou ALT treatment, hould be conidered at higher rik for thi complication.
