Abstract :
Purpoe
To decribe the ue of an autologou erum-free derived cultivated conjunctival epithelial equivalent in the treatment of extenive recurrent viral papillomata.
Deign
Interventional cae report.
Method
A 10-year-old child with extenive recurrent viral papillomata involving the uperior and inferior taral, forniceal, and bulbar conjunctiva underwent urgical exciion of all dieaed area and double freeze-thaw cryotherapy. Autologou erum-free cultivated conjunctival equivalent were ued to recontruct the ocular urface and conjunctival fornice.
Reult
Almot complete epithelialization wa achieved within 5 day potoperatively. A good cometic and functional reult wa obtained, and no recurrence or cicatricial complication developed during 12-month follow-up.
Concluion
Tranplantation of autologou cultivated conjunctiva wa effectively ued in the recontruction of the ocular urface after extenive exciion of recurrent viral papillomata. Thi modality of treatment may be ueful in the treatment of ocular urface diorder in which extenive conjunctival and fornix recontruction i required.
