Abstract :
Purpoe
The homeotatic chemokine, B cell attracting chemokine 1 (CXCL13), ha been implicated in the pathogenei of lymphocyte-mediated dieae. We invetigated the cellular expreion of thi chemokine in the pectrum of ocular adnexal lymphoproliferative leion.
Deign
Laboratory invetigation.
Method
CXCL13 expreion in paraffin-embedded adnexal biopy pecimen wa determined by indirect immunohitochemitry with antigen retrieval.
Reult
In 15 of 16 biopy pecimen, including reactive lymphoid hyperplaia (n = 7), atypical lymphoid hyperplaia (n = 3), and B cell lymphoma (n = 6), CXCL13 wa detected. CD20-poitive B-cell, a well a dendritic cell and endothelial cell, expreed the chemokine.
Concluion
B-cell in ocular adnexal lymphoproliferative leion demontrate expreion of CXCL13, a chemokine that may participate in tumor pathogenei and i a potential target for novel therapie.
