Late Reopening and pontaneou Cloure of Previouly Repaired Macular Hole

Purpoe The feature of late reopening with pontaneou cloure in previouly repaired macular hole are illutrated with optical coherence tomography (OCT). Deign Obervational cae report. Method Cae tudy of two patient with reopened macular hole that developed 7 year after ucceful macular hole urgery and then pontaneouly cloed while patient were awaiting urgery. Reult OCT imaging demontrated reduction in the cytic pace within the leave of the macular hole followed by bridging of the hole in one patient. The econd patient had abrupt cloure of the hole with reolution of the cytic pace. ubequent normalization of the foveal contour wa oberved in both patient. Concluion OCT imaging accurately demontrated the feature of pontaneou cloure of late reopened macular hole. Poible mechanim for thi rare event are dicued and compared with the characteritic of pontaneouly cloed primary and traumatic macular hole.
