Naolacrimal Duct Obtruction Claified by Dacryoendocopy and Treated With Inferior Meatal Dacryorhinotomy. Part I: Poitional Diagnoi of Primary Naolacrimal Duct Obtruction With Dacryoendocope

Purpoe To invetigate the ite of primary naolacrimal duct obtruction (PNLDO) uing a dacryoendocope and naal endocope. Deign Retropective, obervational cae erie. Method After local anetheia, dacryoendocopy and naal endocopy were performed in 149 cae (138 Japanee ubject) of PNLDO. Membranou naolacrimal duct obtruction wa termed a lower PNLDO, and occluion at ac/duct junction termed a higher PNLDO. Reult The incidence of lower PNLDO wa 26.8% (40 of 149 cae), and 109 cae (73.2%) were diagnoed with higher PNLDO. Concluion The dacryoendocope i extremely ueful to oberve directly and evaluate the ite of obtruction with accuracy in PNLDO. The higher and lower PNLDO may have a different etiologie.
