Progreion of Peripheral Anterior ynechiae After Laer Iridotomy

Purpoe To determine the incidence and to characterize the rik factor of peripheral anterior ynechiae (PA) progreion after laer iridotomy (LI). Deign Retropective obervational cohort tudy. Method The extent of pre- and potlaer PA and ocular and ytemic data were obtained from the chart of 54 primary angle-cloure glaucoma patient (59 eye), all of whom had undergone LI. Reult PA progreed in 19 of the 59 eye (32.2%), during a mean follow-up period of 34.4 month (range, 6-95 month). Multivariate analyi howed that the preence of plateau iri (P = .024), and a high intraocular preure 1 hour before LI (P = .042) were rik factor of PA progreion. Concluion Approximately one of three of the eye howed PA progreion during a 3-year follow-up period after LI. The probability of progreion wa found to be higher in the eye that exhibited plateau iri and in eye that proved to be relatively unreponive to medication before LI.
