  • Abstract
Purpoe To compare three different method of meauring corneal thickne (CT) and anterior chamber depth (ACD). Deign Propective clinical trial (Medical Univerity of Vienna, Autria). Method Central CT (CCT), CT at four peripheral point, and central ACD were meaured in 88 eye of 44 healthy ubject with the Pentacam (rotating cheimpflug camera; Oculu, Wetzlar, Germany), Orbcan I (canning-lit topography ytem; Orbtek Inc, alt Lake City, Utah, UA), and AC-Mater (partial coherence interferometry; Zei Meditec, Jena, Germany), and the reult were compared. Reult The upper (lower) limit of agreement for CCT meaurement were 7.9 (−22.2) μm between AC-Mater and Pentacam, 17.6 (−32.5) μm between AC-Mater and Orbcan, and 25.2 (−25.9) μm between Pentacam and Orbcan. Correlation wa high between all three method (r = 0.94 to 0.97). The upper and lower limit of agreement for ACD were 0.174 (−0.251) mm between AC-Mater and Pentacam, 0.406 (−0.004) mm between AC-Mater and Orbcan, and 0.384 (0.095) mm between Pentacam and Orbcan. Correlation wa high between the three method (r = 0.96 between Orbcan and Pentacam; other 0.92). Correlation wa lower for the CT meaurement at the four peripheral point. Concluion The CCT and ACD value obtained by Pentacam, Orbcan, and AC-Mater meaurement correlated well and howed few outlier. The two new ytem (Pentacam, AC-Mater) provide a reliable, eay-to-ue, noncontact method of meauring CCT and ACD. Larger difference occurred only when meauring peripheral CT value, epecially between AC-Mater and the other two method.
