Abstract :
Purpoe To evaluate the outcome of odium morrhuate 5% injection in patient with low flow vacular leion, which conit of orbital lymphangioma, and in one patient with intraoeou cavernou hemangioma. Deign Propective, interventional conecutive cae erie. Method Intraleional odium morrhuate 5% wa injected under direct viualization or under radiographic guidance to ix patient with orbital lymphangioma and one patient with intraoeou cavernou hemangioma. Comprehenive eye examination and follow-up imaging tudie were performed. main outcome meaure: Leion ize wa evaluated by orbital imaging and clinical examination, viual acuity, exophthalmo, and pottreatment complication. Reult even patient (four female, three male; average age, 33 year) were included. ix patient were diagnoed with orbital lymphangioma, and one patient wa diagnoed with intraoeou cavernou hemangioma. Patient received an average of 2.6 ± 2 intraleional injection of odium morrhuate, with a range of one to ix injection and a mean volume of 0.9 ± 0.8 ml (range, 0.2 to 2.1 ml). Leion howed a decreae in ize an average of 50% (33%) and ranged from minimal (10%) to near total reolution (85%). Viual acuity and intraocular preure remained unchanged; exophthalmo decreaed an average of 1.5 ± 1.8 mm. Complication included one cae of orbital hemorrhage that reolved pontaneouly and tranient keratopathy in all patient with anterior orbital leion. Concluion Intraleional cleroing therapy with odium morrhuate 5% i effective in tumor debulking in patient with orbital lymphangioma and i not aociated with viion-threatening complication. It may be a better alternative to urgery for low flow orbital tumor, which include lymphangioma.
