Abstract :
Purpoe To provide an evidence-baed overview of wavefront-guided refractive urgery outcome, benefit, and limitation. Deign Literature review. Method Review of FDA tudy report and indexed, peer-reviewed literature. Reult More than 400 report invetigating wavefront application in refractive urgery exit, but tudie comparing the outcome of wavefront-guided treatment with conventional treatment are few in number. Available tudie do not overwhelmingly demontrate uperior viual reult attributable to a wavefront-guided approach. Concluion While wavefront-guided refractive urgery provide excellent reult, evidence i limited that it outperform conventional laer in itu keratomileui that incorporate broad ablation zone, moothing to the periphery, eye-tracker, and other technological refinement. However, it i evident that wavefront-cutomized ablation hold a promiing future and merit ongoing invetigation.
