A 5-month-old female with bilateral congenital glaucoma underwent uncomplicated 360 degree uture trabeculotomy in the right eye. In the left eye, a cleral flap wa created and diection to chlemm’ canal wa achieved. A 6-0 Prolene uture wa paed into chlemm’ canal long enough for 360 degree of treatment, did not come out the opening, and wa retracted. The procedure wa completed with a trabeculotome. One month later, an unuual white tract wa noted ubretinally in the left eye. There wa no overlying retinal break or detachment. The tract preumably wa caued by the midirected Prolene uture exiting chlemm’ canal prematurely and being directed poteriorly.
Concluion
uture midirection ubretinally during cannulation of chlemm’ canal hould be conidered a poible complication of 360 degree uture trabeculotomy
