Abstract :
Purpoe To report a rare cae of craniodiaphyial dyplaia (CDD) that reulted in a profound lo of viion in both eye. Deign Obervational cae report. Method A 2-year-old girl preented with midfacial anomaly. Marked thickening and cleroi in the calvaria and facial bone were detected on the plain x-ray, which were compatible with CDD. Two year later, he viited our clinic becaue of viual lo in both eye. Reult The viual acuity wa light perception in both eye. The optic dik welling with temporal pallor wa oberved in her both eye. Orbital computed tomography can revealed near-total obliteration of the optic canal in both eye. Concluion CDD i a evere bone diorder characterized by maive generalized hyperotoi and cleroi, epecially involving the facial bone. Bony encroachment on the cranial foramina caue optic nerve compreion, and thi may lead to progreive viual impairment and ultimately to blindne.
