Optical Coherent Tomography Feature of Malattia Leventinee

Purpoe Malattia leventinee (ML) i an inherited macular degeneration characterized by the preence of large paracentral and mall radial druen. Our purpoe wa to decribe optical coherent tomography (OCT) feature oberved in ML. Deign Propective obervational cae erie. Method Ten eye from five patient with ML aged 27 to 44 year were propectively included. Bet-corrected viual acuity, fundu color photography of the retina, and OCT were performed in each patient. Reult OCT revealed a hyperreflective thickening of the retinal pigment epithelium–Bruch membrane complex, aociated with localized dome-haped elevation. Retinal thickne above the druen ranged from 221 to 292 μm (mean 260 μm). Foveal thickne ranged from 72 to 200 μm (mean 144 μm) Concluion The large paracentral druen preented either a a thickening of the retinal pigment epithelium–Bruch complex or a local limited elevation of retinal pigment epithelium–Bruch complex, both aociated with preervation of the neuroenory retina.
