Abstract :
Purpoe
To examine the effect of poture change on corneal aberration and corneal curvature.
Deign
Obervational cae erie.
Method
The Keratron topographer, improved to meaure patient in the upine poition, wa ued to meaure the corneal aberration and the curvature in nine healthy volunteer. The firt meaurement took place with the ubject in the itting poition and the other in the upine poition, immediately after auming the upine poition and then 30 minute later.
Reult
The total higher-order and pherical-like aberration were ignificantly increaed from the itting poition to the upine poition (P = .011, and P = .044, cheffé tet).
Concluion
Thee reult ugget that the increae in the higher-order aberration from the itting to the upine poition act to limit the improvement in viual performance after cutomized refractive urgery baed on wavefront meaurement.
