Vitrectomy for Macular Hole Aociated With Myopic Foveochii

Purpoe We reviewed the urgical reult of vitrectomy for macular hole (MH) aociated with myopic foveochii (MF). Deign Noncomparative, interventional cae erie. Method etting: Intitutional. participant: Eight eye of eight patient with MH aociated with MF. intervention procedure: All patient underwent vitrectomy, internal limiting membrane peeling, and ga tamponade. main outcome meaure: lit-lamp–baed biomicrocopy, optical coherence tomography examination, and bet-corrected viual acuity (BCVA) meaurement. Reult The MH cloed in two eye (25%), and the BCVA improved more than 2 line in three (37.5%) eye, remained unchanged in three (37.5%), and worened in two (25%). The MH ize increaed ignificantly in a cae with an unreolved MH (P < .05). The potoperative BCVA wa ignificantly correlated with the preoperative BCVA (P < .05). Concluion Although ignificant viual improvement occur in le than 50% of cae, vitrectomy can be beneficial for ome cae.
