Purpoe
To decribe the color viion diturbance reported by patient in whom a clear intraocular len (IOL) wa implanted in one eye and a yellow-tinted (blue-light-aborbing) IOL in the other eye.
Deign
Retropective interventional cae erie.
Method
Data recorded included demographic information, date of urgery, IOL model and power (manufacturer i the ame for all lene), bet-corrected viual acuity, and ubjective viual complaint.
Reult
Four of five patient had no pontaneou color viion complaint. When thee patient were informed of the unintended mimatch, all remarked that they could perceive a color viion difference, but that it wa not botherome. One of the five patient reported “beige” viion. None of the patient wanted an IOL exchange.
Concluion
Many patient can tolerate the color viion imbalance that reult when a clear IOL i implanted in one eye and a yellow-tinted IOL i implanted in the other eye.
