Indocyanine Green Angiography Abnormality of the Periphery in Vitelliform Macular Dytrophy

Purpoe To report the peripheral abnormalitie een only with indocyanine green angiography in patient with vitelliform macular dytrophy (Bet dieae, caued by a mutation in the betrophin gene). Deign Obervational cae report erie. Method Eight eye of four patient, two with only a central macular leion and two with multifocal leion, were tudied. Reult of indocyanine green angiography were compared with finding from ophthalmocopy and fluorecein angiography. Reult Throughout the fundu periphery, indocyanine green angiography demontrated a number of hyperfluorecent pot in all eight eye. The pot were oberved in the midperiphery and the periphery in area with no abnormality viible by ophthalmocopy or fluorecein angiography. Concluion Although Bet dieae generally caue leion viible in the poterior pole, the extenive ditribution of the hyperfluorecent pot i conitent with the wide-ranging abnormalitie of the retinal pigment epithelium, Bruch membrane, and the choroid a een hitopathologically.
