Central Corneal Thickne in Patient With Weill-Marcheani yndrome

Purpoe To invetigate whether central corneal thickne (CCT) i affected in patient with Weill-Marcheani yndrome (WM) and to focu on it clinical ignificance. Deign Cae-control tudy. Method Complete ocular examination wa performed in cae and control group, and then the lowet reading of ten pachymetry meaurement of the central cornea wa taken a CCT. Reult All participant, cae and control, were female and age matched (P = .7). The mean of central corneal thickne in twelve eye of ix patient with WM wa thicker (631.5 ± 25.9 μ) than 40 eye of 20 normal peron (535.8 ± 25.9 μ) in the control group (P < .0001). Concluion Increaed CCT eem to be a previouly unrecognized apect of WM. Thi may lead to overetimation of intraocular preure by applanation tonometer. Therefore, unuually thick CCT hould be conidered in interpreting the Goldmann tonometric reading in diagnoi and management of glaucoma in thi rare yndrome.
