Cloure of Peritent Cyclodialyi Cleft Uing the Haptic of the Intraocular Len

Purpoe To evaluate a technique for ab-interno repair of cyclodialyi cleft in conjunction with placement of an intraocular len (IOL). Deign Interventional cae report. Method etting: Clinical practice. patient: Two eye of two patient, one phakic and one aphakic, preent with hypotony econdary to traumatic cyclodialyi cleft. intervention: A ingle piece all-polymethyl methacrylate intraocular len (PMMA IOL) 13.5 mm in diameter wa placed in the ciliary ulcu with the haptic placed in the area of cyclodialyi cleft during cataract urgery and econdary placement of IOL. main outcome meaure: Intraocular preure (IOP). Reult Hypotony reolved in both patient on the firt potoperative day and the IOP wa maintained above 10 mm Hg for more then 36 month potoperatively. Concluion In the etting of hypotony from a traumatic cyclodialyi cleft, the haptic of an IOL can be ued a an internal cerclage during cataract or econdary IOL urgery to effectively cloe the cleft by direct appoition of the ciliary body to the overlying clera.
