Abstract :
Purpoe To decribe a cae of progreive glaucomatou optic neuropathy uing canning laer polarimetry with fixed (LP-FCC) and variable corneal compenation (LP-VCC) and optical coherence tomography (OCT). Deign Obervational cae report. Method A 21-year-old male with juvenile primary open-angle glaucoma developed progreion becaue of noncompliance with therapy. The patient underwent dilated tereocopic examination and photography of the optic dik, tandard automated perimetry (AP), OCT, and LP imaging with FCC and VCC at the baeline examination and after four year of follow-up. Reult Optic dik, retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) atrophy, and AP progreion wa oberved. Reduction in mean RNFL thickne (average, uperior, inferior) wa 18, 18, and 27 micron (OCT); 22, 40, and 17 micron (LP-FCC); and 6, 12, and 12 micron (LP-VCC), repectively. Concluion Thi cae demontrate that digital imaging of the peripapillary RNFL i capable of documentation and meaurement of progreive glaucomatou RNFL atrophy.
