Central Corneal Thickne and Viual Field Lo in Fellow Eye of Patient With Open-Angle Glaucoma

Purpoe To determine the relationhip of central corneal thickne (CCT) and viual field lo between fellow eye in primary open-angle glaucoma. Deign Retropective, obervational cae erie. Method Record review of glaucoma patient een at local Veteran Adminitration eye clinic. Thoe with CCT meaurement performed within one month of viual field teting were included. Patient were excluded with viion below 20/40 or dieae that would affect viual field. Intraubject (between fellow eye) difference in CCT, mean deviation (MD), and pattern tandard deviation (PD) were calculated by ubtracting left eye value from right eye value. Reult Of the 100 ubject (94 male), the pearman correlation coefficient between intraubject difference in CCT v intraubject difference in MD wa 0.36 (P = .0003). The pearman correlation for difference in CCT v difference in PD wa −0.31 (P = .0019). Concluion Our tudy ugget that wore viual field change tend to occur in the eye with the thinner cornea.
