Abstract :
Purpoe To decribe two cae of peripapillary retinal chii in patient with glaucoma without evidence of optic nerve pit, peudopit, or X-linked retinochii. Deign Two obervational cae report and literature review. Method Imaging of the peripapillary nerve fiber layer and chii cavitie wa completed in two patient, and one patient wa followed over time. Reult The firt patient, diagnoed with narrow angle glaucoma, wa noted to have peripapillary chii in the right eye with matching change on viual field and optical coherence tomographic (OCT) reult. Follow-up examination revealed that the chii diappeared in the right eye while appearing in the left. The finding were verified with high-peed ultra–high-reolution OCT performed in both eye. The econd cae involved a patient with anatomically narrow angle, high intraocular preure (IOP), and peripapillary chii extending into the macula. Concluion Peripapillary retinochii may repreent a unique equelae of intraocular fluctuation in patient with uncontrolled glaucoma. Further tudie are needed to better undertand thi dieae proce.
