Viual Field Defect After Macular Hole urgery With Indocyanine Green–aited Internal Limiting Membrane Peeling

Purpoe To report viual field defect after macular hole urgery with indocyanine green (ICG)–aited internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling. Deign Interventional conecutive cae erie. Method A retropective review of 140 eye with macular hole after vitrectomy with ILM peeling. The group with 0.25% of ICG for ILM peeling conited of 96 eye. The group without ICG conited of 44 eye. Reult Naal viual field defect occurred in 11 eye, temporal viual field defect in even eye, and concentric viual field defect in one eye. In the group with ICG, naal viual field defect were far higher in the left eye than in the right eye. Concluion We peculate that the potoperative naal viual field defect were caued by the enhanced toxicity of ICG reulting from the expoure to illumination.
