Abstract :
Purpoe
To evaluate the feaibility of uing emiautomated analyi of digital fundu image to quantify effect of photocoagulation on retinal veel diameter in retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).
Deign
Cae erie.
Method
Fourteen eye of even patient with threhold ROP and 12 eye of ix control were included. Fundu image were captured before and after photocoagulation, or one to three week apart in control, uing an NM200D camera (Nidek, Inc, Aichi, Japan). VeelMap oftware (Imedo, Jena, Germany) meaured veel diameter. The t tet analyi wa ued to ae veel change.
Reult
The author oberved a ignificant reduction in average larget retinal vein diameter of −18% ± 16% (±1 tandard deviation). The average larget artery diameter trended down by −12% ± 16%. Compared with control, diameter reduction wa ignificant in vein (P = .014) and arterie (P = .016).
Concluion
The diameter of retinal veel decreae after photocoagulation. VeelMap analyi of digital image i feaible and may be helpful in quantifying treatment effect.
