Comparion of Central Corneal Thickne Meaurement by Viante Anterior egment Optical Coherence Tomography With Ultraound Pachymetry

Purpoe To compare the meaurement of the central corneal thickne (CCT) by Viante (Carl Zei Meditec, Dublin, California, UA) anterior egment optical coherence tomography (A-OCT) with ultraound pachymetry. Deign Population-baed, cro-ectional tudy. Method Participant were part of a population-baed tudy of 3280 Malay ubject aged 40 to 80 year in ingapore. Ultraound pachmetry of CCT wa performed on all participant and approximately 10% underwent further evaluation with A-OCT. Reult Two hundred and eighty-five conecutive ubject were included, with a mean age of 57.9 (± 10.8) year. CCT a meaured by ultraound pachymetry wa highly correlated with the equivalent A-OCT reading (The Pearon correlation coefficient = 0.93, P < .001). However, Bland-Altman analyi howed that CCT a meaured by ultraound pachymetry wa ignificantly higher by 16.5 ± 11.7 μm (limit of agreement −6.1 to 39.1, P < .001). Concluion CCT meaured by Viante A-OCT wa highly correlated with that from ultraound pachymetry. However, CCT reading by Viante A-OCT were conitently le than that of ultraound pachymetry.
