Purpoe To report a cae of proliferating trichilemmal cyt in a 55-year-old woman. Deign Obervational cae report. Method A 55-year-old woman ought treatment for a ma in the right upper eyelid. The leion wa excied twice previouly, and recurred. The ma wa reexcied and examined hitopathologically. Reult Light microcopy howed a cytic leion lined by tratified quamou epithelium with a compact layer of eoinophilic keratin without granular cell layer. There wa no atypia, mitoi, or tromal invaion. Concluion Although proliferating trichilemmal cyt how benign hitopathologic feature, clinical manifetation may mimic thoe of more aggreive tumor with local recurrence or ditant metatai. Wide exciion of the leion and cloe long-term follow-up i recommended.
