Abstract
Purpoe
To identify clinical finding aociated with claw-haped pattern on corneal topography.
Deign
Retropective, obervational cae erie.
Method
Forty eye (26 patient) with claic claw-haped pattern on corneal topography were identified from 3,993 Orbcan II record. They were ubclaified into three group: Group 1 (pellucid marginal degeneration [PMD] or PMD upect); group 2 (keratoconu or keratoconu upect); and group 3 (ectaia). The refractive and topographic indice of group 1 and 2 were compared.
Reult
There were nine eye (ix patient) in group 1, 27 eye (18 patient) in group 2, and four eye (two patient) in group 3. The mean radii of maximal anterior (2.96 mm) and poterior (3.06 mm) elevation in group 1 were ignificantly greater than thoe of group 2 (1.89 mm; P = .018 and 1.72 mm; P = .022, repectively).
Concluion
The claw-haped pattern on corneal topography i not diagnotic of PMD; it i alo een in keratoconu.
