Different Fundu Autofluorecence Pattern of Retinochii and Macular Hole Retinal Detachment in High Myopia

Purpoe To report difference in fundu autofluorecence (FAF) reult between macular hole retinal detachment (MHRD) and myopic foveochii (MF) in highly myopic eye. Deign Obervational cae report. Method Total of 20 highly myopic eye were included in thi tudy (MHRD, ix eye; MF with macular hole [MH], three eye; MF without MH, 11 eye). The author oberved both tandard and near-infrared FAF image uing the Heidelberg Retina Angiograph 2 (HRA2; Heidelberg Engineering, Heidelberg, Germany). Reult MHRD typically howed extenive hypo-FAF and foveal hyper-FAF. Hypo-FAF and hyper-FAF eemed to account for RD area and MH, repectively. ome cae of MF had almot normal reult, except for a ubtle mottled pattern of hyper-FAF. Concluion MHRD and MF howed different pattern of FAF, and thi fact could be helpful in diagnoing MHRD from MF. Hypervicou ubretinal fluid might have blocked FAF ignal in MHRD, but not in MF.
