Abstract :
Purpoe
To evaluate the reult of combined Intac (Addition Technology, Fremont, California, UA) and poterior chamber toric implantable Collamer len [ICL] (Viian ICL; TAAR urgical, Monrovia, California, UA) implantation in keratoconic patient with extreme myopia and irregular atigmatim.
Deign
Propective, ingle-center, noncomparative, interventional, conecutive cae erie.
Method
Three eye of two conecutive highly myopic keratoconic patient who had undergone poterior chamber toric ICL implantation after Intac implantation. Implantation of poterior chamber toric ICL wa performed at interval between ix and 10 month after Intac implantation. Uncorrected viual acuity (UCVA), bet pectacle-corrected viual acuity (BCVA), refraction, topographic finding, advere event, and potoperative complication were noted.
Reult
No intraoperative or potoperative complication were oberved. An improvement in UCVA and BCVA wa found after the Intac and toric Viian ICL procedure in all eye. All eye were emmetropic within 1 diopter (D), wherea the mean manifet refractive pherical equivalent refraction reduced from −18.50 ± 2.61 D (range, −16.75 to −21.50 D) to 0.42 D (range, plano to −0.75 D). The mean difference between preoperative and lat follow-up UCVA and BCA wa a gain of 6.67 ± 1.15 line (range, gain of ix to eight line) and 4.33 ± 2.52 line (range, gain of two to even line), repectively.
Concluion
Combined Intac and poterior chamber toric phakic Viian ICL implantation in a two-tep procedure i an effective method for correcting keratoconic patient with extreme myopia.
