  • Abstract
Purpoe: We longitudinally invetigated macular function by multifocal electroretinography (mfERG) in a cohort of patient with Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH) yndrome. Deign Propective tudy. Method VKH yndrome wa diagnoed in 11 patient (22 eye) according to hitory and ocular examination. They were treated with immunouppreive agent and the macular function wa evaluated uing bet-corrected viual acuity (BCVA) and mfERG before treatment and one, three, ix, and 12 month after treatment. Reult All invetigated patient with VKH yndrome howed active intraocular inflammation at their firt viit. A decreaed viual acuity (VA) and abnormalitie of mfERG were oberved in all thee patient. VA rapidly improved at one and three month and gradually improved thereafter. All but one eye achieved a BCVA of ≥20/25 at 12 month following treatment. The N1 amplitude and latency were ignificantly improved at three and ix month and continuouly improved thereafter. The P1 amplitude and latency were ignificantly improved at one and three month and progreively improved thereafter. However, the amplitude of N1 and P1 wave wa till ignificantly decreaed at 12 month. Concluion Macular function revealed by nellen chart and mfERG i everely impaired in VKH patient with active uveiti. Treatment with immunouppreive agent lead to an earlier, fater, and better recovery of VA, and a delayed but limited recovery of macular function a indicated by mfERG at 12 month. MfERG could be an ancillary tet that may be ueful in guiding therapy of patient with VKH yndrome.
