Abstract :
We derive the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE), the method of moment estimator (MM.E) and the uniformly minimum variance unbiased estimator (UMVUE) of the mean and the right-tail probability in a Pareto distribution and their variances. We then compare the MSEʹs of the estimators.
