Spontaneous rupture of a utero-ovarian vein during pregnancy

Atraumatic rupture of a utero-ovarian vein during pregnancy is a potentially lethal complication that is likely to be misdiagnosed because of its rarity. We report the case of a 31-year-old woman at 25 weeks’ gestation who had an acute abdomen and shock. (Am J Obstet Gynecol 2001;184:241-2.)
