Abstract :
Extralobar pulmonary sequestrations are usually thoracic or abdominal lesions. A 29-week fetus demonstrated a 3.1 × 2.1 × 2.3 cm intrapericardial mass on ultrasonography. Magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated an extracardiac origin and suggested a pulmonary sequestration, which was confirmed after successful postnatal resection. Extralobar pulmonary sequestration should be considered in the presence of a fetal intrapericardial mass. (Am J Obstet Gynecol 2002;187:1713-4.)
