Caracterización etnológica y propuesta del estándar para la raza bovina colombiana Criolla Casanare

Se ha pretendido caracterizar fenotípica y morfológicamente los efectivos bovinos de raza Casanare del departamento del mismo nombre de Colombia. Para ello, se ha trabajado con 79 animales pertenecientes a tres ganaderías consideradas como aquellas de mayor pureza en sus efectivos. Se han controlado 24 caracteres fanerópticos y 23 morfológicos. A partir de los resultados obtenidos se ha elaborado, por primera vez, el estándar racial de estos animales. Palabras clave: Caracterización etnológica, estándar racial, raza bovina Casanare Summary The aim of this study has been to attempt a phenotypic and morphological characterization of the stocks of the Casanare breed of cattle in the department of the same name in Colombia. To this end, we have studied 79 animals belonging to three farms considered to be those with a higher level of breed purity in their stocks. We took into consideration 24 phaneroptic and 23 morphological characteristics. On the basis of the results obtained, we have defined the first ever racial standard for this breed.
