Abstract :
Prototypes for a new class of polythioamide-based macrocycles have been synthesized and anion-binding capabilities assessed. Results indicate higher anion binding for H2PO4^-, HSO4^-, and F^- for monocycles, but somewhat lessened binding capabilities for bicycles compared with amide corollaries.
