Abstract :
The ethanol extract of roots of Clerodendrum serratum have been screened for their antibacterial activity. The extract (7.5mg/disc) showed broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against gram positive and gram negative bacteria. The results were compared with the standard drug streptomycin (10^g/disc).
