USING ARCHITECTURAL MODELS TO IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT OF ACQUISITION MANAGEMENT

The article presents a model of the processes of one of the Bulgarianforce-management subsystems – the acquisition system. The modeling approachadopted is architecture-oriented, which means that the processes are represented accordingto their sub-processes or phases and activities and the connections in termsof information exchanged between them. The modeling framework selected for thispurpose is the widely accepted in NATO and partner countries DODAF (Departmentof Defense Modeling Framework). The authors provide a brief discussion ofthe model and some recommendations for improvement of the process of acquisitionmanagement
