Abstract
Abstract. Czech Republic has been a member of the European Union since 1st May 2004. This date became a starting point for an application of the Common Agricultural Policy in the Czech Republic. Because of significant structural and political changes which have occurred in last decades, the Czech Agriculture meets nowadays specific problems within the European Single Market. Adopting the CAP rules has also changed conditions for farming. The article analyzes an impact of rules implemented since joining the EU with respect to the historical development and explains reasons for specific position of the Czech agriculture within the European agriculture.
