ACCURATE MEASUREMENT OF THE MAINS FREQUENCY

Mains frequency varies around the world. Some countries have adopted 50 Hz as the standard, while some other countries use 60 Hz. The accuracy of the mains frequency is very important in many industrial and commercial applications. This paper describes the design of a microcontroller based system for measuring the mains frequency accurately.
