Abstract
This paper outlines how HRM practices (selective hiring, recognition and reward, performance appraisal, self-managed team and extensive training) can enhance the firmʹs levels of knowledge acquisition, sharing and application. A conceptual model was proposed to examine the relationship between human resource management practices and knowledge management. This model is expected to provide a strategic map that could be utilized by the practitioners and managers so that the initiated KM practices can be more effective in contributing to the overall organizational performance
