Abstract :
ABSTARCT: The present research was carried out to compare the attitudes of male and female citizens of Tehran regarding certain dimensions of the performance of Tehran sport complexes using the descriptive method on a field basis. The population of the research consisted of the users of the services provided by aquatic and multi-purpose sport complexes of Tehran Municipality. Simple random sampling was applied in the research. The questionnaires were distributed in all the 22 districts of Tehran City. The data was collected through a researcher-made questionnaire with an approved validity of 90%. Descriptive statistics including measures of central tendency, distribution and frequency tables were used for data analysis. Further, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was applied to examine the normal distribution of the data, Levine’s test was applied to examine group variances, and t-test for independent samples was used to compare the means of the two groups. SPSS software was used for hypothesis testing. The results showed that there is no significant difference between the satisfaction of men and women with the facilities and the performance of the trainers in the aquatic sport complexes, but there were differences with respect to the geographical locations, where men were more satisfied than women. Moreover, a significant difference was observed between men and women’s satisfaction with the facilities and geographical location of the multi-purpose sport complexes with men being more satisfied than women, but no significant difference was observed with respect to the performance of the trainers.
