Abstract :
ABSTARCT:The aim of this study is to evaluate 11-15 years –old- footballers’ body composition and somatotype features ?n terms of ball kicking techniques and speed. The participants of this study are footballers playing at Eski?ehirsports substructure aged 11-15, training ages, for age group 11 2,60±1,07 year, for age group 13 4,60±0,91 year, for age group 15 4,93±1,39 year, Height age group 11 (144,30±4,72)cm, age group 13 (156,87±10,47)cm, age group 15 (164,87±8,80)cm , average body weight for age group 15 (54,89±9,05) kg, for age group 11 (37,32±4,10) kg and for age group 13 (45,68±7,16) kg . In order to determine all footballers’ body composition 4 different values (height, body weight, body fat percentage, body mass index),to determine somatotypefeatures 3 different values (endemorphic, mezomorphic, ektomorphic ) were calculated. At the football pitch, with 2 different kicking techniques , ball speed of shots towards a specific target has been identified with the help of a radar.Kolmogorov-Simirnov and Spahiro-Wilk normality tests were applied to determine whether the datas belonging to a group statistically have normal distribution or not.To determine the difference between groups at ?=0.05 significance level one-way variance analysis test (Oneway anova ) was applied. For the significant differences Tukey’s HSD test was applied as a second level test.As a result, with age increase and influence of growth and maturation there are differences in childeren body composition, somatotype features and technical skills levels.
