Mild methods to assemble and pattern organic monolayers on hydrogen-terminated Si(111)

Mild methods to assemble well-ordered organic monolayers of olefins on Si(111) using 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1piperidinyloxy and to pattern these monolayers on the micrometer-size scale using soft lithography are reported.
